All in all I made it work
#

On December 2017 I built my first computer. It was awesome and worth all the effort.

I bought all the components from the Internet, in the course of 2 months.

Every time I received a component, I put it next to the others.

In a way, I was already building the computer , or the very idea of it.

But I did that before right? When I was shopping the pieces, I was already making a list of things I would need. It is here where the building began. Or was it?

I can recall I wanted to do this ever since high school, I was fascinated and always tried to learn and see how others were building their own computer!

So here it was where the building started, in the mind!

So building I did, as I mentioned before, I had all the pieces next to each other, in their package of course (lollipop included).

This was my computer already! Or if not, then at least the distorted, blurry shape of it.

But they say a computer is only as good as the amount of electrons it can process, and it does more processing if plugged in, if you catch my drift.

I slashed, I cut, I used scissors like a professional.

I unpacked everything and analyzed every piece.

THIS got me confused like hell. Here I had this perfect idea of how my computer would be running DOOM.

But DOOM ran through me as I realized I had to process all THIS extra information.

Things got complicated, but it is okay, I know I can get it to work, eventually.

Other people have pioneered this.

Other people have done this.

Other people have imitated this.

Other lizard people have patented it.

If they could do it, I can do it (TBD what exactly it is) , all I have to do, is understand the rules.

So first, I failed at this task.

Secondly I found an Indian guy doing it, and imitated it in such a way that the Librarian would be proud of me!

Third, I got it done.

And there it was! The most beautiful thing I ever built.

I turn it on, it rumbles and beeps and then it huuums so beautifully.

But it won’t paint anything on my screen. Something is wrong!

Aaaaarrrghhh I… I forgot to buy a graphics card 🙃 .

I thought the CPU ( the Mind ) had an integrated Graphics Card, but the one I bought didn’t have one!

So my PC was beautiful, awesome. But it lacked imagination, the ability to paint realities ( on my screen).

So what did I do? I went to the local IT shop, and bought one there. It was cheap, not too heavy, not too big. IT was just enough.

I plug it in, and finally. The screen is talking to me, I couldn’t be more proud of it, I was so ready to talk to it too.

I also realized that I didn’t have to use Amazon to buy everything, there is stuff around me too, and it could be just the thing you need in that moment.

And here I had this wonderful, powerful Computer.

What is the next thing you think I do? I install ArchLinux.

For those who wonder, what is that?

You know when you want everyone around you to notice how mysterious and smart you are?

You tell them you use Arch. Because its hard, and I’m a hard man roOoOaArrrR! 🦁

So yea, I suffered a lot for no purpose other than to learn suffering should be lowest parameters on any operating system, so I installed elementaryOS which is LIKE macOS but its actually Ubuntu.

But wait, there is more!

Today is the 5th of December, to this date, I changed every single piece in my Computer.

Everything, including the box and wires.

But its still MY Computer. Why is that? Find out in the next story…. 😛

All In All, I made it work 😄 .
